The two of them are twins with the ability to summon spirits and the sort. Thus the act they do revolves around that base.

As for how they perform in the circus, lots of steam and smoke is released into the ring and the little balls on the end of Zip’s rope glow a very light blue. This is a result of summoning a spirit and having it move around in one place. From there, large fans would blow away the smoke to make it look like they come out of nowhere. Bip would then summon a few more spirits in order to make it look like Zip was glowing then he would pursue to dance and do tricks with the glowing balls on his rope while Bip kept up the light show by controlling the summoned spirits.

Thus both Bip and Zip are known together as the Spirit Dancers

Zip is Bip's younger twin, and is also the one with a human figure. Due to his mistake while they were summoning a spirit to help clean their room, Bip's body was destroyed. Out of desperation, he summoned and made a contract with a dark being to bring her back, and by doing so, he had to give parts of his body [all the parts that appear dark on his body now] in order to keep a constant connection with her. To replace the fleshless parts on Zip, the dark being took the parts that would be used to form a new body for Bip and placed them to replace Zip's missing parts. Those bits from Bip get darker as she grows darker, but it doesn't harm him at all.

Bip is the little floaty one. She was killed at a fairly young age, but her spirit was brought back to life by using bits of her twin brother’s flesh. She has no physical body, so she takes on any of the damage that is caused from repetitive summoning in such a short time frame. The more they summon together, the darker her form becomes and the whiter her hair grows.
